About Us

Susanna spends the vast majority of her time exploring the world of STEAM and enjoys competing in those fields. She hopes to provide a safe space for kids to develop their own confidence and curiosity in the STEAM fields. She also secretly likes unmanned vehicles and watching things fly. ✈️

Nina is part of the Valencia High School class of 2023, and is currently working her way through the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and Val-Tech academy. She is also an avid biologist and Science Olympiad competitor at her school. In her free time, Nina loves to teach younger students about the scientific process through fun experiments, discussions, and lessons. 🧬

Barbara has participated in many STEAM activities like Science Olympiad, AMC, and Math Field Day. She hopes to provide a place where kids can experiment and learn new things without limits. A fun fact about her is that she figure skates! 😃

Ashmita is an 11th grader with a passion for technology, especially using machine learning and AI in data analysis. She hopes to introduce more girls to STEM and bridge the gender gap. Though it doesn't look like it, she plays the drumset (a red one). 📖

Amisha is currently a junior at Troy High School. Her goal is to spread STEM knowledge to as many students of all ages as she can, and she teaches biology and technology for multiple groups on her campus. She is also a compulsive reader who would love any book suggestions she is offered! 🔬

 

At the moment, Chris is a freshman at Troy High School. He actively participates in STEAM and especially enjoys Astronomy and Computer Science. In the future, he hopes to meet more people who also enjoy learning and studying the incomprehensibly large field that is STEAM. Additionally, he loves competing in various STEAM activities, such as Science Olympiad.💫

Gayathri is a freshman that has competed in STEAM competitions of many types across the nation. She enjoys exploring, participating in, and teaching all the realms of science and art. One fun fact about her is that she assembled her current bed frame, all by herself, in less than an hour. 🙃

Yehyeon is an 11th grader at Troy High School. She is dedicated to expand her passion for technology through numerous courses in Troy Tech and activities relating to cyber security. She is looking forward to incorporate technology into variety of fields, especially astronomy or medical field. In addition, She love helping fellow peers, especially peers with special needs, to actively explore and be involved in a community. 👩🏻‍💻

Jahnavi has participated in several STEAM projects and activities including Science Olympiad, AMC, Math Kangaroo, and an orchestra. Her goal is to be able to introduce STEAM to people all around the world!! Although it may not seem like it, Jahnavi has trained for 5 years in martial arts and is now a first degree black belt! 😃

Adrian is sophomore who enjoys various STEAM activities and subjects, his favorites being math and computer science. He is very interested in USACO(USA Computing Olympiad) and hopes to improve his skills regarding USACO in the future. He enjoys playing piano in his free time.

Kevin has participated in many math competitions and taught students at a middle high school club. He hopes to spread his enthusiasm for math by teaching others and has the experience needed to do so. Despite his natural aptitude for math, he enjoys challenging himself by delving into other topics such as history.

Alex Bekis is a hard working student who traveled to Luxembourg for a math competitions because of that. He hopes to be able to do many more endeavors like that one in his foreseeable future. He was actually born in siberia before moving to the United States. In his free time he does community service in order to give back to his community. 😎

Ethan is an eighth grader at Las Flores Middle who enjoys playing video games and sketching in his free time, and studying math and english at school. His goal with this program is to help younger children achieve their goals and dreams through STEM. Playing the violin is also something that Ethan does.

Will loves all things math and science! He has participated in many STEAM activities like his own science themed birthdays (three in a row!), 3D printing, STEM Club, advanced math class, multiple musical ensembles and orchestras on violin and oboe, as well as math team. He hopes to be able to teach kids STEAM in a fun, hands on, and educational way. As for fun facts about Will, he plays chess, competitive Scrabble, and enjoys solving escape rooms -- he's done about 70! In addition, his family's goal is to see all 50 states-- he's visited 39 so far.

Haidyn hopes to be a aeronautical engineer when she's older, even though everyone says she should be an actress. She likes to run track and long jump. Haidyn is currently learning to speak German.

Massimo is an 8th grader at South Pasadena middle school and he has been coding for multiple years now. He hopes to expand on what he already knows about coding and other topics under the STEAM category. Massimo had does various coding projects on Vex Vr, he has also done many projects on Tinkercad which allows people to design and 3D print objects. He is a student athlete who focuses on school and baseball.

Nikhil is a sophomore at Northwood High School who created their own rocket even with the restrictions of components set by the city. He hopes that he can continue to understand the fundamentals of STEAM that shape the world today. He was also able to teach his dog to "sit" in a matter of minutes. 😃

Meghna is an 8th grader attending and STEAM focused school. She has been on several academic teams including STEAM like Robotics and Science Olympiad. She hopes to work with children and help build there dreams and help them achieve it. Some fun facts about her are that she loves to read and she does gymnastics.

Shouryan is passionate about inventing which has helped him explore the complex world of STEAM. He would like to share his in-depth knowledge about STEAM with others to help create innovative new solutions to everyday problems, creating a better world one invention at a time. A fun fact about Shouryan is that he does fencing and has even competed in the finals of a fencing tournament.

Alicia is a sophomore at Valencia High School and has competed in many STEAM activities such as Science Olympiad and Math Counts. She hopes to spread her passion in the STEAM field to other students by joining this program. In her free time she enjoys drawing and collecting stuffed animals. 🧸

Arnav is a freshman at Troy High School who enjoys engineering, design, and building. He actively participates in STEAM through AMC8, AMC10, MathCounts, Science Olympiad, Troy Tech, and more! He loves to teach others and show off his fifth-degree black belt in taekwondo :)

Jeslyn Phan is currently a high schooler who aspires to be a robotics engineer. She has participated in and won a couple of MESA competitions. In her free time she enjoys to cosplay and draw.

Nuzhat's interests and passions revolve around STEAM, from competitions in art, math as well as innovation and designing competitions. Her goal is to use her skills to support STEAM initiatives. In addition she is currently learning how to code and has a huge passion for reading too.
